You can place Sogetsu Ikebana at your door, in you living room or on your kitchen table...It will suit any kind of space, Japanese or Western and enrich its atmosphere." - Sogetsu Official \n  \n  \n Learn Ikebana, traditional Japanese flower art, outside in the beauty of the Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix. Led by master Ikebana teacher, Ping Wei, you will learn essential Japanese flower arranging techniques, aesthetics and the meanings of flowers in order to make your own arrangement with us.  \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n Workshop contents:  \n  \n  \n  \n 	Discussion of the principles of ikebana used in the class \n 	Demonstration of arranging using said principles and various flower arrangement examples  \n 	Guests arrange their own creations \n 	Ping Wei sensei conducts an interactive evaluation and discussion of all arrangements to help everyone further their understanding of Ikebana aesthetics. \n  \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n Check-in time: 8:45 am \n  \n  \n Program starts at 9:00 am \n  \n  \n Your prompt arrival will ensure a more pleasurable experience not only for yourself but for the other participants as well. \n  \n  \n   \n  \n  \n The Garden is located at 1125 North 3rd Avenue, between 3rd Avenue and Latham (2 blocks North of Roosevelt). Parking is available at the garden.  \n  \n  \n When riding the Light Rail, exit at the Central and Roosevelt stop. The Garden is located on the west side of the rail, 0.3 miles from the station; it is directly behind the Irish Cultural Center (1106 N. Central Ave, Phoenix), just north of Portland Avenue.
