Program Description
Kokedama literally translates to “moss ball”. This moss ball has experienced a resurgence as a modern art form useful for uniquely presented plants and flowers.
A kokedama is a Japanese Art form of planting where you wrap moss around a plant’s root system and tie it up with string. In this hands-on workshop, you will get your hands dirty and feel the therapeutic benefits of nature while creating a kokedama for your home.
This is perfect for those who are looking for mindful meditative experience, while being immersed in the restorative beauty of the Japanese Friendship Garden. At the conclusion of class, you will have your own kokedama to take home with you, along with instructions for continued care.
Jude Luth is a certified herbalist, with a passion for creating plant medicine and exploring nature as a therapeutic and healing tool for our community. as well as meditation and sound healing classes at Biophilia's brick and mortar space in Central Phoenix.
